Les Chandler

Les recently completed his Master of Arts in Ministry from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. In graduate studies, Les pursued an emphasis in urban ministry and certification in Pastoral Care and becomes the first person to step into the role of Minister of Congregational Care at Grace. Les served as a pastor for sixteen years in Churches of Christ. His faith journey began in the United Methodist Church as a child and young teen.

Les and his spouse, Bert Casanova came to Grace in 2006 where acceptance and healing love greeted them through the family of Christ at Grace. He is proud to serve at Grace where diversity is celebrated through the commonality of inclusive love for all. Les shares his life story through the avenues of Sunday school classes, on panel discussions, and events centered on LGBTQ inclusivity. He also serves on the Reconciling Ministry Board of the North Texas Conference.
