Adam White

Adam has been working at Grace since August 2014, when he served as an intern for a year. After completing his Masters of Divinity at Perkins School of Theology at SMU in May 2015, he has continued on staff at Grace where he now serves as the Minister of Discipleship. Adam leads the young adult ministry at Grace. Out of this ministry he helped formed Y’ALL (Young Adult Learning Lunches). Y’ALL meets bi-monthly, where young adults gather together and discuss certain topics over potluck lunches. He also forms and helps lead in organizing and leading annual membership classes and Sunday school classes. Finally, Adam co-leads a multi-United Methodist Church Taize service. The Taize service occurs once a month on every third Sunday evening, rotating between Grace UMC, Oak Lawn UMC, Greenland Hills UMC, and White Rock UMC.

Other than serving at Grace UMC, Adam also works for the Missional Wisdom Foundation as one of two Priors who assist, along with the Abbot, nurturing the new monastic communities of the Epworth Project. Adam is also pursuing ordination as a Deacon within the North Texas Conference of the UMC. He enjoys biking, playing soccer, and is looking forward to being married to his amazing fiancé, Blair, in May 2016.
