VOICES OF CHANGE OPENS ITS 50th SEASON!

As Voices of Change turns 50 years old, we are presenting our concerts at Grace United Methodist Church and at First Prebyterian Church downtown. All Members of area churches receive half-price tickets for $15 at the door, so please join us on November 23rd. The first concert in the Parlor at Grace will be on January 25th, and we hope all of you can attend.

Join Voices of Change for a little night music! Program to include Jocelyn Morlock’s Vespertine for Flute & Harp, the world premiere of Artistic Director Jonathan Cziner’s Lunaris for Violin & Piano (commissioned for Artistic Director Emeritus Maria Schleuning), and a “constellation” of short nocturnal pieces. The concert includes:

  • Augusta Read Thomas: Dream Catcher (2008, rev. 2021) for solo violin

  • Jocelyn Morlock: Vespertine (2005) for flute & harp

  • Carlos Simon: Sleep Well (2018) for solo piano

  • Carlos Salzedo: Chanson de la Nuit (1927) for solo harp

  • Ellen Reid: Red Brick Moon (2020) for solo violin

  • Claude Debussy: Clair de Lune from Suite Bergamasque (1905) for solo piano

  • Jonathan Cziner: Lunaris for Violin & Piano (2023-2024) World Premiere & VoC Commission
